With social distancing in full effect, many can start to feel a variety of emotions. The truth is that for many of us in the US, the ‘lockdown’ has really only taken effect for the past few days (roughly the timing of a normal weekend). But, I think that the thought of not having the choice to leave your home is what might be making some feel stressed, anxious, frustrated or even bored.

In today’s post, we’ve rounded up some of the cool and interesting things we’ve seen that you can do online (aside from the typical endless social media scrolling and binge watching!). Please note that these are not affiliate links, we just curated a cool list of things we like that you might enjoy too! See below:

  • The Met is streaming (for free!) encores of past performances. Presentation will begin at 7:30pm EST (operawire).

  • The Ancient Egypt wing at the Louvre in Paris has an online tour available (Note: it’s pretty old school & I think it requires flash)

  • Christie Rosen the author of Empowering the Sensitive Soul and a health & wellness coach, has created this incredible video guiding you through a breaking exercise to help with anxiety or stress. (watch video)

  • Community Yoga Studio, a local Michigan based studio has been live streaming some great yoga classes and poses. (watch now)

  • There is another pretty good series from Anayat Eldaly on YouTube — and many other studios are implementing something similar! Post some fitness links below in the comments!

  • Of course, there are a ton of great videos to watch how to cook food now that we’re all quarantined and our takeout options are getting much more limited! Always love getting some dinner inspo from Cravings by Chrissy Teigen and BuzzFeed Tasty.

  • Lauren K. Stein. Not only are her recipes great, they’re designed to have help from the kiddos, as you can see in her book Fresh Made Simple. What’s your favorite go-to pantry recipe?

  • Ask E Anything. Elizabeth Goede has brought back Season 2 of her 40 business sins. Her business etiquette tips will keep you on tip-top shape even working remotely. Check back often to see newly added videos. (explore now)

  • Detroit-based Studio for Mindfulness conducted some online meditation workshops over the weekend. Follow them on Instagram to find out the latest. (follow now)

There is so much more out there that I don’t want to miss. If you come across something, please share in the comments below and let’s use this as a repository for where we can share ideas & collaborate. In the meantime stay safe & healthy.

PS: Don’t miss our Virtual Happy Hour open to the public! Email jessica@dalziel.co if you want to be added to the invite. We are kicking things off on Thursday, March 19 at 5pm EST. No need to prepare anything other than a coffee, tea - or maybe something stronger!
