D&Co Recommends: Memberful
No more creating and chasing monthly invoices! Memberful is a super easy tool that allows you to sell memberships to your audience. At D&Co, we even use this ourselves -- and I know we're not even using the tool to its fullest potential.
How does it work?
The tool works with Stripe, WordPress and MailChimp. But wait, I thought D&Co's website was built on Squarespace? It is! While we can't protect content pages on Squarespace with a single sign on (come on Squarespace, please figure this out!), we're still able to do a code injection to accept payments (instructions here).
This works wonders for us at D&Co because we either offer payment installments and/or monthly recurring plans and certainly do NOT want the overhead in chasing down these invoices!
PRO TIP: Inform your clients in advance so they know the payment will be auto-billed from the card they use.
How much does it cost?
There are several tiered plans that cover starter, pro or enterprise level. We have been super happy with the Pro plan, which runs at $25/month and has a lower transaction fee of 2%.
Anything else?
As a small business owner, you're probably used to leveraging about 500,000 tools finding hacks, integrations and work arounds to make those tools work for you (and work together - hello Zapier!). But so many of these tools are faceless, human-less entities. They are absolutely perfect when everything is working right but when one little thing goes wrong, it can throw everything off and you don't know who to turn to. This is absolutely NOT the case with Memberful. Their customer service is shockingly incredible. They are super responsive and you know it's not some bot that is throwing a generic, unhelpful reply back to you. Absolute kudos to Drew & his team at Memberful, they are amazing!
